Meet the Founder
Gabrielle Hall is a Program Coordinator at the Baltimore Metropolitan Women’s Business Center, a TEDx Speaker, and the Founder and CEO of Grain of Arcane, a wellness brand rooted in natural haircare, skincare, and holistic self-care. Through her professional work and entrepreneurial ventures, Gabrielle focuses on building pathways for economic empowerment, creative expression, and community healing.
A proud Maryland native and graduate of Morgan State University, Gabrielle’s entrepreneurial journey began as a personal path toward healing and self-discovery. What started as a creative outlet eventually evolved into Grain of Arcane — a brand that bridges beauty, mental health, and community impact.
In her role at the Baltimore Metropolitan Women’s Business Center, Gabrielle leads strategic programming that equips women entrepreneurs with mentorship, capital access, procurement readiness, and sustainable growth strategies. She oversees program operations, manages data and reporting systems, and builds cross-sector partnerships that connect minority founders to high-impact funding and certification opportunities.
As an entrepreneur, Gabrielle has secured over $18,000 in non-dilutive funding through equity-centered grant writing and accelerator programs. Grain of Arcane has been supported by initiatives including WBENC, Black Girl Ventures, the Black Ambition Prize, and the HBCU Founders Initiative.
A certified Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aider, Gabrielle is a dedicated mental health advocate who integrates emotional wellness into business, creative, and community spaces. She has facilitated workshops and wellness-centered conversations at institutions including Howard University, Towson University, and Morgan State University.
As a TEDx Speaker, Gabrielle shares her message on healing, resilience, and the transformative power of creativity through her talk, “The Art of Healing.” Her work centers on reducing mental health stigma while empowering individuals to build lives rooted in purpose and wellness.
Gabrielle has collaborated with cultural leaders and changemakers including Tabitha Brown, Kondwani Fidel, Devin Allen, Lady Brion, Congressman Mark Conway, and HBO’s HLVII Kira of We Own This City.
Her leadership and community impact have been recognized through honors including the HBCUniverse 30 Under 30: Community & Impact Award, the Women’s Equity Award, The Unsung Hero Award, and the Bear Tank Social & Climate Impact Award.
Through entrepreneurship, strategic programming, and mental health advocacy, Gabrielle continues to champion inclusive economic empowerment, creative healing, and community-driven innovation.
